Consumption of fruits, vegetables and juices is an excellent way to hydrate your organism.

• Drink many fluids during the day, especially during the summer months and more if you exercise.

• If you exercise, drink water before, after and during the exercise.

• Remember to remind to children drinking water, in particular to those who play and practice sports in warm environment or wear warm clothes during their game.

• Be sure to have always with you a bottle of water. Also you should have at your car a bottle of water in case of emergency.

• Drink a glass of water before going to bed and another after you wake up. Eight hours is a long time to leave your body without water.

• Preferably drink water rather than other beverages of hydration such as coffees, soft drinks, fruit drinks.

• Caffeine and alcohol have a diuretic effect and heighten the loss of fluids. Be sure to replenish this extra loss.

• The beverages that contain caffeine such as coffee, tea and soft drinks of cola type actually dehydrate the body, because they use more water than they provide. The same happens also with the alcoholic drinks.

• Do not wait to get thirsty in order to drink water. The thirst is the sign of dehydration.
